Our team at The Faricy Boys Automotive offers a large inventory of off-road-focused trucks for sale near Buena Vista, giving you the opportunity to find the right one for you. Not only that, but our team specializes in knowing the details of each truck on our lot, meaning you get the information you need to make an informed decision. Whether you initially reach out online or stop by in person, we’ll offer a quick response and a helping hand, ensuring quality customer service and a streamlined shopping experience. However, if you’re looking to understand your off-road options before you reach out to us, here are the specialized off-road trims available for the trucks we sell.

Jeep: Rubicon and Mojave

The Jeep brand has long been known for delivering specialty off-road vehicles. However, in the spring of 2019, the brand offered up a new type of off-road experience, allowing you to enjoy the trails around Buena Vista in a Jeep truck called Gladiator. The 2024 Gladiator offers an available ground clearance of 11.6 inches and an immersive 12.3-inch touchscreen that makes the trails come alive on your dash, providing you with detailed information about the terrain through integrated Trails Offroad Jeep Adventure Guides, including all 68 Jeep Badge of Honor Trails.

When shopping for the 2024 Gladiator, you’ll see that it comes in seven trims, with the most off-road capable being the Rubicon and Mojave. Each trim offers a standard 3.6L V6 engine with four-wheel drive, but these two options go further. You’ll find tow hooks, skid plates, upgraded suspension, and enhanced four-wheel drive performance. The difference between the two is that the Rubicon is designed for rock crawling up in the mountains, while the Mojave is intended for high-speed off-roading out in the deserts. The newer Rubicon X and Mojave X trims follow the same pattern but add even more features.

GMC: AT4 and AT4X

GMC offers you the chance to enjoy the great outdoors with the AT4 truck lineup. This lineup includes the Sierra 1500, the Sierra HD, and the Canyon, meaning you get both a light-duty and heavy-duty full-size option as well as a midsize option. Like the Gladiator, the first AT4—the Sierra 1500 AT4—was introduced in 2019. It offers something for everyone, whether you want to hit the trails or tow a trailer for work.

For the 2024 Canyon AT4, you’ll find more than enough power under the hood despite its smaller size. This is thanks to the standard 2.7L TurboMax engine that delivers 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, you’ll enjoy standard features like Hill Descent Control, a two-inch factory lift, and distinctive red tow hooks. Even better, the Canyon offers a host of accessories that take your outdoor adventures to the next level, including rooftop tents and truck bed storage.

Finally, you’ll find even more off-roading power when you choose the AT4X options, also found on all three of the trucks mentioned above. The Sierra 1500 AT4X and Canyon AT4X have front and rear electronic locking differentials, which you won’t find in any other truck in their segments. Also, Multimatic DSSV dampers for superior ride quality are only found on the AT4X.

Ram: TRX

The Ram lineup is full of rugged and ready trucks, but it’s the Ram 1500 TRX that takes center stage when discussing off-roading. One of the first things you’ll notice when you see the TRX is that it is wider than the Ram 1500 by eight inches. You’ll also find 35-inch tires and available beadlock-capable wheels that help you navigate a variety of terrains with confidence. The look of the TRX is also impressive—even beyond its wider stance—with LED identification lights and a grille that funnels 32.9 liters of air per minute to the engine, working alongside the high-performance air filters to remove dirt and debris with ease. Additionally, the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX has best-in-class horsepower and torque thanks to the supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8. When you add it all together, you get 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque with the ability to go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

You’ll also feel confident in the durability of the Ram TRX, with its 98% high-strength steel frame construction. Still, if you’re familiar with off-roading already, you know that you also need comfort during the drive. The TRX delivers in this category as well, thanks to the Bilstein Black Hawk e2 shocks that evenly distribute the impressive horsepower mentioned above and give you support whether you’re on blacktop or rocky terrain.

Ford: Tremor and Raptor

Like the trucks listed above, Ford offers several options that can get you where you’re going across multiple terrains, but the Ford F-150 Tremor and F-150 Raptor are often the two that come up when off-roading is the name of the game.

The 2024 Tremor offers 35-inch all-terrain tires and a 5.0L V8 engine that delivers 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. You’ll also find an electronic-locking rear differential, off-road shocks, as well as multiple drive modes, including Slippery, Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Rut, and Rock Crawl, ensuring control over every terrain you might uncover as you navigate through the Buena Vista area.

For the F-150 Raptor, you’ll find heavy-duty skid plates, a unique grille design, and the same 35-inch all-terrain tires. However, you can opt to increase the tire size to 37 inches, as well as enjoy more power with the available 5.2L supercharged V8 engine. You will also boost your drive with the addition of FOX Dual-Live Valve Shocks, which provide more confidence and control thanks to their electronic adjustment and position-sensitive damping.

Regardless of which Ford off-road trim you choose, you can take advantage of Ford Trail Control with Trail 1-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist, which allows you to concentrate on steering at low speeds by controlling acceleration and braking to maintain a predetermined speed. Trail 1-Pedal Drive lets you accelerate and brake using only the accelerator pedal, which can be extremely helpful in off-roading. Trail Turn Assist tightens the turning radius by applying brakes to the inside rear wheel, making the truck easier to handle in tight bends.

Chevy: ZR2

Like GMC, Chevy also offers a family of rugged options with its ZR2 lineup. Within the lineup, you’ll find a wide range of camera options that aid you in navigating terrain and towing, as well as specific ZR2 wheels and Multimatic DSSV dampers for a smooth ride. Not only that, but you’ll find the ZR2 family gives you options across truck sizes, from midsize to full-size to heavy-duty.

Your first option is the 2024 Silverado 2500 HD ZR2, with 35-inch tires and impressive underbody coverage that includes front aluminum skid plates. Meanwhile, the 2024 Silverado 1500 ZR2 gives you superior traction, thanks to the front and rear e-lockers. Additionally, the Silverado 1500 ZR2 gives you a 33.5-degree approach angle due to the off-road-cut front bumper. Last but not least, the 2024 Colorado ZR2 gives you not only the ability to tackle multiple terrains but also to see that terrain as it passes by, thanks to the available underbody cameras. Also, a three-inch lift, wider stance, and upgraded suspension system make the drive more comfortable for both you and your passengers.

But wait—you can enjoy the trails around Buena Vista even more with the ZR2 Bison editions. New for the 2024 model year, the ZR2 Bison can be found in the Silverado HD, Silverado 1500, and the Colorado. One of the main differences between the ZR2 and ZR2 Bison are the skid plates made of boron steel you’ll find underneath the Bison, protecting the fuel tank and the rear differential. This protection gives you added peace of mind when the terrain is rockier than normal.

Our team can help you determine which ZR2 is best for you as well as explore the other off-road truck options when you visit our showroom. We’re sure our inventory will have exactly what you need to enjoy the great outdoors in the Buena Vista area.
