What Are the Different Types of EVs?

The term EV is used to denote three basic types of vehicles. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) combine a conventional gas engine with one or more electric motors powered by a small battery pack. At higher speeds, the gas engine and electric motors work together to power the vehicle. This is why hybrids have better fuel economy in city driving.
